WORDWARRIORS

FAQ & how to play

Everything you need to start playing competitive Wordle and Sudoku.

How to play

In the Word game you have six guesses to find a five-letter word. After each guess, a tile turns green if the letter is in the right spot, yellowif the letter is in the word but the wrong spot, and grey if it isn't in the word at all. In a match you race live opponents on the same word — solve it in the fewest guesses (and the fastest time) to win and climb the ladder. Prefer numbers? Sudoku works the same way competitively: fill the 3×3 grid faster than your opponents.

Frequently asked questions

Is Word Warriors free to play?
Yes. Word Warriors is completely free to play in your browser — no download, no payment. The daily Word and Sudoku challenges can even be played as a guest without an account.
Can I play Wordle with friends?
Yes. Create a private lobby, share the join code, and 2 to 6 players race through the same words. The fewest total guesses wins. It's the fastest way to play Wordle head-to-head with friends online.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to play the daily Word or Sudoku challenge. A free account saves your stats and streak, gives you a rating, and puts you on the leaderboards and ranked ladder.
How is this different from regular Wordle?
Word Warriors is real-time and competitive. Instead of solving alone, you race live opponents on the same puzzle, climb a ranked ladder from Bronze to Grandmaster, challenge friends in private lobbies, and still get a fresh daily puzzle.
How does the ranked ladder work?
Jump into a ladder match against up to six players. You play the same word under a timer; the lowest scorer is eliminated each round until one warrior remains. Your rating rises or falls based on where you place, which sets your tier.
Is there a daily challenge?
Yes — a new daily Word puzzle and a new daily Sudoku, the same for everyone, every day. Solve it and compare your result on that day's leaderboard.
Can I play Sudoku as well?
Yes. Word Warriors has competitive real-time Sudoku with the same modes as Wordle: a ranked ladder, private friend challenges, and a global daily puzzle.
What devices does it work on?
Any modern web browser on desktop, tablet or phone. There's nothing to install, and the board and keyboard are built to fit small mobile screens.
Is Word Warriors affiliated with the official Wordle or the New York Times?
No. Word Warriors is an independent game and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Wordle or The New York Times.
